- Nose
- Sweet nuttiness. Almonds. Fresh figs.
- Palate
- Slow start. Heavy footed. Black treacle.
- Finish
- Crisp. Ginger biscuits.
- Comment
- Mortlach is usually a supple, muscular malt. At ten years, this already seems a trifle tired.

- Nose
- Some sweetness. A BIG nose: brambles and summer fruits, loganberry, roast chestnut, chocolate, treacle toffee, Lea and Perrins, smoke.
- Palate
- Rich with good depth of flavour. That treacle toffee again alongside roasted nuts. Stewed tea.
- Finish
- Hedgerow fruits.
- Comment
- The Port gives a sweetness you don't usually encounter in Mortlach. This has balance.
