- Nose
- A basket of breakfast breads, but in what country? Evokes memories of soda bread in Ireland, cherry muffins in Washington state, buttery croissants in Paris.
- Palate
- Warmed brioches. Chewy. Sweet without being cloying. Becoming drier. Slightly herbal. Focaccia with rosemary. Sophisticated.
- Finish
- Extraordinarily long. Teasing.
- Comment
- Ascetic. Complex. Cosmopolitan.

- Nose
- Elegant and mature with a spicy attack, some coconut. With water, there's milk chocolate, charred smokiness over apricot juiciness.
- Palate
- More wood smoke and ashes, kumquat, red apple, mixed nuts. Water makes it more tannic.
- Finish
- Tight.
- Comment
- Better on nose than palate where it's just tipping over into the woody stage. Good though.
