Tasting Notes

Michael Jackson Nose Sweetish seaweed. Palate Lightly creamy. Viscous. Creamed spinach with toasted almonds. Finish Sweet lemons. Sea salt. Comment A surprisingly sweet expression of Clynelish. Lots of flavour and plenty of charm.

Dave Broom Nose Oily/waxy with dried apricot, vanilla, heather, wild herbs and mink oil. Atouch of light peatiness. With water it louches like absinthe. Beautiful, but slightly alarming. Palate Medium-bodied, but a real mouthfiller which coats and clings to the palate. There’s smoke, that lovely oiliness and a fruity sweetness. Ripe, rich. Finish Dry, peppery and long. Comment A top example from one of the greats.
