Nose
Lightly honeyed and soft with hints of camphor, astringent peat, subtle wood smoke, citrus and a touch of grain spirit.
Palate
Subtly smoked with a lovely combination of BBQ smoke and green wood smoke. Relatively straightforward with an oily, citric core and again subtle grain spirit notes.
Finish
Finish: Long and smoky with the herbal grain more prominent, but it does give it a crisp, vibrant finish. Hints of dark chocolate, liquorice and subtle, dry peat smoke linger.
Comment
I must admit, it was more subtly smoked than I expected but that smoke really lingers and the finish is probably the best of the six.
