- Initially zesty, perfumed, with developing vanilla and leather. Finally, as it dries out, lemons.
- Palate
- Assertive oak, developing into sherry and toffee.
- Finish
- More delicate oak, with attractive caramel notes cutting in later.
- Comment
- Good balance – has stood up to its cask well, retaining a zest not overwhelmed by age.

- Toasty. Plenty of oak, pine sap, sawn wood, floor polish, then Lockets, mint nutmeg, praline.
- Palate
- A mix of soft and dry. Creamy texture balanced by sweet grippy oak. Guava, ripe orange, deck oil, biscuit, butterscotch toffee.
- Finish
- Light oak, coconut, toffee.
- Comment
- Fantastic for its age. Has retained the signature freshness.
