Nose
Gentle. Peardrops, butterscotch, a hint of lemon.
Palate
Initial apples and sherbet, hard toffee. Some woody notes ultimately predominate.
Finish
Quite short, more toffee, oak.
Comment
Knockando is always a well-mannered whisky, although this expression seems a tad tired.

Nose
Malt bin, lime and orange, passion fruit, coffee ice cream becoming hugely, almost alarmingly creamy: fudge, butter.
Palate
Creaminess seems to hide. Direct and nutty with a crisp centre. Pigskin leather. Dry and malty.
Finish
Dusty.
Comment
The first clotted cream finish? Amazing freshness for this age. A great cask – quick use it again!
