- Nose
- Slight smokiness. Beeswax. Honey. Floral. Heathery.
- Palate
- Honey cake. Ginger. Spicy complexity.
- Finish
- Long. Gently warming. Lemony dryness. Rounded with a hint of peat.
- Comment
- Very sweet but the classic heather honey is balanced by the gently peaty, smoky dryness that has vanished from most Highland malts.

- Nose
- Very rounded and attractive. Warm enveloping custard. Créme anglais. Smells like whisky!
- Palate
- Bursts into life. Still assertive, still attacking. Tastes like whisky!
- Finish
- Long and very bright. Consistent. Repeat to fade.
- Comment
- Great balance and brilliantly structured. More please.
