Nose
Vibrant. Citrussy. Lemon curd. A touch of exotic fruit. Passion fruit maybe. Verbena; light and fragrant. Palate
Oak shows more than expected. A slight cardboardy note. With a phenolic hint. Finish
Tangy, peppery. Comment
The palate does not have the refreshing appeal of the nose. Water tames it but not enough to make it really palatable.
Dave Broom
Nose
Edgy with a light metallic note: aluminium, green grass, geranium, whiff of sulphur. Palate
Surprisingly sweet start with a firm grip and a very dry mid palate that carries a light phenolic note from the cask. Finish
Short and slightly hard. Comment
More in line with the first two. The most ‘grainy’ on show.
