Nose
All spice and candied peel and the suggestion of an old whisky that has matured very gently. Very zesty and lively with tingling spice and a heavy floral note like lilies. Palate
Sweet with caramelised sugars and a touch of rosewood. Balanced and discreet. Slightly less direct with water, but has a real subtle depth. Finish
Long with gentle spice. Comment
Elegant and sophisticated.
Martine Nouet
Nose
Elegant oaky fragrances. Floor polish, beewax, sunheated pine cones. Fruity notes slowly emerge. Pears in custard. Greengage. Palate
Rich, smooth at start then becoming crisp. With a spicy outburst and a sherbety feel. Oak is present. Custard and liquorice. Finish
Spicy with an oaky bite. Comment
A wonderful nose, a dash of water cuts the edges. Complex and harmonious.
