- Nose
- Dried apricots. Oloroso sherry. Faintly spicy smokiness.
- Palate
- Creamy. Minty. Nutty. Almondy dryness.
- Finish
- Firm. Grippy. A touch of peaty bitterness.
- Comment
- Much more sherried than the previous 10 Years Old distillery bottling. The back-label still lifts (unattributed) phrases from my tasting notes for that edition. The new version is very elegant, but the earlier one had more distillery character.

- Nose
- Usual heavyweight aroma associated with this distillery. Oloroso is evident. A very slight sulphur note spoils the harmony a little.
- Palate
- Enormously rich mouth feel, with roasted barley and then a wave of grapey fruit.
- Finish
- Deliciously oily and sprinkled with soft spices, vanilla, caramel and oak.
- Comment
- Massive whisky from a pint-sized distillery and massively impressive.
