- Nose
- Initially, cold roast beef. Icing sugar emerges, with a hint of cloves.
- Palate
- Polished leather and more cloves, with nutmeg and a touch of cinnamon.
- Finish
- Dries in a leisurely manner to silky oak. Spice persists.
- Comment
- A polished and complex whiskey.

- Nose
- There is a meaty hint to this at first, Oxo cubes. It moves into more sweeter territory after a while, spun sugar and Demerara. There is a hint of spice too.
- Palate
- At first egg tart, nutmeg, custard, cream and a little malt note. The oak grips the tongue and there are spices at the back of the tongue.
- Finish
- Dry but complex.
- Comment
- A well balanced whisky with a lot going on.
