Michael Jackson
Nose
Real bourbon vanilla, witha touch of candy-store sweetness.
Palate
Firm, malty, sweet. Some malty fruitiness (apricot?). A suggestion of cilantro.
Finish
Liquorice. Rooty.
Comment
Less structured than might be expected in a 12 Years Old, but a perilously drinkable, appetising bourbon.

Jim Murray
Nose
Just about nudging perfection: salty but balanced infused with delicate fruity notes.
Palate
Rye hits every corner of the mouth: light oils and myriad oaky, complex notes to the roof.
Finish
Slow build up of slightly molassed sweetness and vanilla leaves a lingering, smoky, phenolic finale.
Comment
This (along with Evan Williams 12) is the finest whisky from the house of Heaven Hill.
