73- Nose
- Lightly yeasty with a touch of nose burn. Little balsa wood and rice cakes with a hint of pencil eraser. Reserved and fairly cool.
- Palate
- Firm and very clean with a certain youthful sterility to it. Clean and a hint of floral character. Very little cask influence.
- Finish
- Clean, short, sherbet.
- Comment
- Well made spirit but maybe a more active cask would push it forward slightly faster. But then maybe I'm just a little impatient.

70- Nose
- Intense, yeasty, with something earthy. A garden after a violent rainfall in summer. Stagnant water. Cardboardy in time. Hint of smoke.
- Palate
- Sweet at start then phenolic and dry. Not much more. Still the cardboard.
- Finish
- Dry, slightly bitter/sour like sloes.
- Comment
- It needs water to cut the edges but then the cardboardy character is enhanced.
