- Nose
- Sweet and sour. First restrained then blossoming up. Cider apple, even close to cider. A light floral touch (freesia). Coffee drops.
- Palate
- Thick, syrupy. Floral. Parma violet, liquorice. Somewhat austere. Oak stands fast. Nutmeg. Brazil nut.
- Finish
- Dry, oaky. Spicy outburst.
- Comment
- Reminiscent of an old calvados at first. Palate is less creamy than the nose. For those who like it spicy. Water tames spices a little though.

- Nose
- Light, with orange notes. Tingling spices. Citrus oils, a dusting of cocoa. Crisp and quite lean. Young and fresh with a hint of apple.
- Palate
- A fresh dried tangerine quality. Balances relative lightness with a soft gentle mid-palate and a zesty finish.
- Finish
- Long, soft, citric.
- Comment
- Not the biggest, but a versatile balanced bourbon.
