Martine Nouet
Nose
Sweet and sour. First restrained then blossoming up. Cider apple, even close to cider. A light floral touch (freesia). Coffee drops.
Palate
Thick, syrupy. Floral. Parma violet, liquorice. Somewhat austere. Oak stands fast. Nutmeg. Brazil nut.
Finish
Dry, oaky. Spicy outburst.
Comment
Reminiscent of an old calvados at first. Palate is less creamy than the nose. For those who like it spicy. Water tames spices a little though.

Nose
Light, with orange notes. Tingling spices. Citrus oils, a dusting of cocoa. Crisp and quite lean. Young and fresh with a hint of apple.
Palate
A fresh dried tangerine quality. Balances relative lightness (compared to some big bastards here) with a soft gentle mid-palate and a zesty finish.
Finish
Long, soft, citric.
Comment
Not the biggest, but a versatile balanced bourbon.
