- Nose
- Masses of coconut and toasted marshmallow, rose. Light chocolate - fruit and nut bar. Less weight than the ‘92 and more direct. Little touch of raisin, then cedar and touch of wood oils. More toffee. The minty note has returned along with orange.
- Palate
- A soft, syrupy start then the cigar box comes through. Toffee apple. A mix of anise dusty rye and generous corn sussing each other out. Drier and slightly more austere than the ‘92.
- Finish
- Dusty rye.
- Comment
- More classic Evan Williams character.
- Nose
- Highly perfumed. Pencil boxes, fresh sawn oak with bags of wood sugar sweetness. Hints of mint again laced with a delicate citrus note.
- Palate
- Soft, quite gentle again and sweet. This time there is no big hit of spice, more golden syrup meets corn on the cob with salted butter.
- Finish
- Dry and crisp.
- Comment
- A good balance of all elements.
