- Nose
- Green tea, light tobacco. Ginger, cinnamon/cassia and some dusty earth. Very chewy and sweet. This is in line with the 1992. Plummy with chestnut honey. Masses of toffee.
- Palate
- Big sweet cherry/Peychaud notes. Quite firm. Juicy and gentle
- Finish
- Clean and long.
- Comment
- The bigger fatter ones like this and the ‘92 are slightly less expressive.
- Nose
- We seem to have gone back to that turned fresh earth note. A whiff of cigars coupled with a delicate sweetness. The citrus has moved to the back, almost not there.
- Palate
- The most fruit notes of the batch. Cherries, blackberries and the
bitterness of raspberries.
- Finish
- Very pure, almost cleansing.
- Comment
- One for after dinner, possibly with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
