- Nose
- Immediate and expressive. All the scented, exotic lift of Peychaud bitters, dandelion and burdock,Maraschino juice, and rock candy. In time there's a mix of redwood and yew sap and assertive rye.
- Palate
- Light and clean then candy floss, spearmint, and a blast of spiciness to the finish. Thinned just a little with water where the oak structure comes through.
- Finish
- Clean and crisp. Cherry tobacco.
- Comment
- Clean very precise and well crafted.

- Nose
- Cedar, sour apple and toffee. A heady floral note reminiscent of lily.
- Palate
- Thick velvet. Almost cloying but in a pleasant way. Smooth. Sweet pudding-like flavours. Toffee, soft spices. Oak is well integrated.
- Finish
- Long, spicy with a touch of liquorice and dark chocolate.
- Comment
- An old bourbon with a good proportion of rye in the mashbill? The floral nose is enticing.
