- Nose
- Intense. Woody. Cedar wood. Sandalwood. Vetiver root. Like a men's eau de toilette. Opens on dried fruit and Turkish delight. Some sweetness but well balanced by the wood notes.
- Palate
- Smooth and satin-like. Sweet liquorice, prunes and Turkish delight. Oak is
perfectly integrated.
- Finish
- Round, soft and clean, ending with a pleasant astringency.
- Comment
- A superb Kentucky delight ! When old bourbons are oak controlled, they
reach perfection.

- Nose
- Highly aromatic with lots of clove, dusty spices and fennel seeds with the fruits behind. In time there is tobacco and some eucalyptus.
- Palate
- Very gentle start, given the effusive nose then that dusty spiciness comes through, cinnamon especially. Builds heat, energy, and spices, as it moves to the finish.
- Finish
- Yes –spices again!
- Comment
- As you'd expect from this ongoing series this is perfectly balanced, (one of
the quieter expressions?) but lovely.
