Nose
Intense. Woody. Cedar wood. Sandalwood. Vetiver root. Like a men's eau de toilette. Opens on dried fruit and Turkish delight. Some sweetness but well balanced by the wood notes.
Palate
Smooth and satin-like. Sweet liquorice, prunes and Turkish delight. Oak is perfectly integrated.
Finish
Round, soft and clean, ending with a pleasant astringency.
Comment
A superb Kentucky delight ! When old bourbons are oak controlled, they reach perfection.

Nose
Highly aromatic with lots of clove, dusty spices and fennel seeds with the fruits behind. In time there is tobacco and some eucalyptus.
Palate
Very gentle start, given the effusive nose then that dusty spiciness comes through, cinnamon especially. Builds heat, energy, and spices, as it moves to the finish.
Finish
Yes –spices again!
Comment
As you'd expect from this ongoing series this is perfectly balanced, (one of the quieter expressions?) but lovely.
