Nose
Harmonious. Butterscotch. Polished floor. Fruit cake. Oak and fruit combine. Palate
Smooth, velvety. Pears poached in white port and vanilla. Oak is kept under control. A bit flat though. Finish
Medium. Nutty with a touch of spice. Comment
A beautifully mingled aromatic palette. But this whisky wiould have delivered more character if bottled at a higher strength.
Dave Broom
Nose
Dry yet full with aromas of melting chocolate, hay loft, clover honey on toast. Dry sacking. Firm. Palate
Stewed prunes, dark chocolate, earth, caramel toffee and light smoke. Finish
Dried fruits. Comment
This has breadth, but just lacks the depth of the others.
