Nose
A candy floss sweetness with some green plum, lemon balm, eucalyptus and oak. Water brings out a cinnamon note and garrigue like herbs. Good balance. Palate
Perfumed, silky and sweet in the centre with fizzing spices. Good succulent flow which balances the perfumed notes with spice and toffee apple. Better with water. Great balance. Finish
Tight and spicy, some cherry. Comment
Sugar and spice and all things nice.
Martine Nouet
Nose
Spicy and fruity. All spice, cubèbe pepper, touch of caraway. Date chutney. A rich dried fruit sweetness tones down the wood grip. Palate
Deceiving. The sweetness promised by the nose is not here. Very sour. Like old cider. Finish
Much nicer than midpalate. Comment
A teasing nose but a dour profile on the palate. Too old? Bad wood? Water enhances the spices and masks the sourness.
