Dave Broom
87- Nose
- Masses of menthol/eucalyptus, powdered spices. High rye accents, then marzipan and a coconut note which becomes increasingly dominant. Intense and high-toned.
- Palate
- Perfumed, hot with lots of menthol once more. The oak has grip and gives structure. Bitter notes of orange peel and dark chocolate but there's enough sweetness to balance.
- Finish
- Bold.
- Comment
- Big flavour delivery. A sipper, but with one cube of ice or water on the side.

85- Nose
- Intense. A combination of earthy and oaky aromas. Polished oak floor. Damp warehouse. Wet leaves. All giving an autumnal atmosphere. Then the nose opens with pastry notes.
- Palate
- Satin-like. Smooth and sweet then a slight oaky grip comes as a gentle kick. Liquorice toffee. Hint of marzipan. Dry spiciness. Cinnamon.
- Finish
- Dry, long, oak framed.
- Comment
- A deep and rich autumnal dram. With an appetising mix of indoors and outdoors flavours.
