- Nose
- Spirity. A bowl of cereal. Honeyed popcorn. Grassy. Green tea. Touch of angelica. Crème caramel. Lots of vanilla.
- Palate
- Crisp, neat. Orange marmalade. Very astringent. Oak and high strength give a burning kick to the tastebuds.
- Finish
- Dry, rather short, astringent.
- Comment
- Where is the pleasure? Even with water, one feels the burn, which covers the flavours. I am no masochist, thank you.

- Nose
- The deepest and sweetest on show. Ridiculous levels of honey and caramel and char. Black honey, coffee. Liqueur like.
- Palate
- Big and fat and slightly lacking in definition and grip. Heart-burning alcohol levels. Fruits slightly sour. Not balanced.
- Finish
- Floppy.
- Comment
- A no-holds barred glass, but doesn't have the class of the best on show.
