Nose
Intense. Tangy. Paint varnish. Sour fruit. Damson plum jam. A musty note of damp floor in an abandoned house.
Palate
Briefly sweet then a sharp alcohol bite. A powerful wood and sour fruit combination of flavours. But quite well integrated given the strength.
Finish
Dry. Prunes and liquorice.
Comment
A big,muscular bourbon. George T. Stagg ? Good guess...For a stag night maybe...

Nose
Oak varnish, cherry pie,a little black treacle. A burnt orange tang adds to the complexity.
Palate
An explosion of flavours, cherries, fizzy sour sweets, oak sweetness,BBQ sauce.
Finish
Memorable with a sweet meaty element.
Comment
Wonderful, the balance does not give away its strength.
