70- Nose
- White bread and pine with some mintiness, tangerine peel and bluebells. Becomes slightly lactic with water.
- Palate
- Milk-soaked bread with raisins and a bit too much cinnamon and nutmeg for my taste. Some will love this. For me it's lost balance.
- Finish
- Condensed milk.
- Comment
- A love or hate dram.
Martine Nouet
85- Nose
- Delicate, floral. A mix of gorse and gillyflowers. Some freesia too maybe. Jasmine tea. Followed by citrus and custardy aromas. Enticing. A soft cereal note. Water enhances grassy notes.
- Palate
- Smooth. Thin velvet. A lovely fresh aniseed and creamy profile. Dries out on spices and almond.
- Finish
- Drier but still creamy. Medium long.
- Comment
- A luscious whisky, clean, lively and fresh. A midsummer night dram?
