Tasting Notes

Martine Nouet

Nose
Intense. Wood dominates. Resin. Sawdust. Overripe pear, hazelnut.
Palate
Firm, assertive malty notes. A touch of orange peel but not much to deliver.
Finish
Did you say finish? It vanishes in a flash.
Comment
Too monolithic. No variety. The nose opens up after a while though.

Dave Broom

Nose
Very malty (malt loaf spread thickly with butter) with a slightly slick caramel/peanut brittle note. Water brings out floor wax and honey.
Palate
Juicy red grapes to start then it’s nuts (yet again!), some spice. Soft and slightly sweet mid-palate.
Finish
A little short.
Comment
Decent run-of-the-mill style.
