- Flowery heather-honey, with spicy, creamy notes.
- Palate
- Very long. Lots of honey. Flowery. Orange blossom. Seville orange. A hint of cloves. Pepper.
- Finish
- Fragrant. Delicate smokiness.
- Comment
- For me, the classic example of Speyside heather-honey character. A beautifully rounded, characterful, elegant, whisky.

- Generous and rich: stewed peach/apricot, honey, heather, moist buttered sultana cake, some sulphur/burnt matches and even some smoke.
- Palate
- Medium to full-bodied. Ripe, sweet fruits with excellent honeyed concentration which slowly becomes nuttier and a little smoky. Big and powerful with great balance.
- Finish
- Liquorice and vanilla.
- Comment
- One of the great ignored classics of Speyside.
