Tasting Notes

Michael Jackson Nose Flowery heather-honey, with spicy, creamy notes. Palate Very long. Lots of honey. Flowery. Orange blossom. Seville orange. A hint of cloves. Pepper. Finish Fragrant. Delicate smokiness. Comment For me, the classic example of Speyside heather-honey character. A beautifully rounded, characterful, elegant, whisky.

Dave Broom Nose Generous and rich: stewed peach/apricot, honey, heather, moist buttered sultana cake, some sulphur/burnt matches and even some smoke. Palate Medium to full-bodied. Ripe, sweet fruits with excellent honeyed concentration which slowly becomes nuttier and a little smoky. Big and powerful with great balance. Finish Liquorice and vanilla. Comment One of the great ignored classics of Speyside.
