Tasting Notes

Michael Jackson Nose Fragrant. Cedary. Honeyed. Seductive. Palate Soft, rich, tongue-coating. Clean, sweet. A hint of Seville orange. Intense heather-honey. Cereal-grain. Crunchy. Finish Gently drying. Shortbread. Comment A lovely example of a honeyish Speyside whisky.

Dave Broom Nose Mature, elegant and complex. Rancio, mulch, toasty wood, hazelnut, mango, black cherry, clootie dumpling, light smoke. Palate Fragrant but pretty firm. Needs water to soften the oak and reveal peach, chestnut honey, dried fruit and a hint of smoke. Balanced. Finish Cocoa, beech nut. Cognac like. Comment A classic from one of Speyside's forgotten greats.
