- Nose
- Flowery. Roses. Darjeeling tea. Peat.
- Palate
- Firm maltiness. Cake-like. Slightly honeyed.
- Finish
- Surge of spiciness. White pepper.
- Comment
- I have always enjoyed Glen Garioch as one of the few peaty whiskies still made in the Highlands. I hope this peaty character does not totally vanish.

- Nose
- Clean, cereal-dominated nose: nutty wholemeal toast with some butter. In time a soft toffee note/apple sponge. Water crisps it up. Fresh and quite light.
- Palate
- Soft and mealy with pleasant light tangerine notes. Clean. Medium dry.
- Finish
- Light, clean. Floury.
- Comment
- An everyday, mid-weight malt.
