Nose
A strange combination of polystyrene, pea pods and perfume appear at the same time, followed by a note of flat root beer. Water makes things more orderly allowing a soft floral character to develop along with more solidity.
Palate
Fresh with a little charred quality. Tightly focused, with candied citrus sweets and a little vanilla.
Finish
Soft if a little short.
Comment
Pleasing but not sensational.

Nose
Intense. Very fruity. Pear Williams. Hint of varnish. Opens on sweet notes. Vanilla syrup. Hint of marzipan. Some floral notes too.
Palate
Round and silky. Fruity and spicy. Fizzy feel on the tongue. Keeps the same fruity profile as on the nose. Quite rich. Touch of white chocolate.
Finish
Spicy and dry with marzipan.
Comment
A charming “dessert” whisky. More complex than it first appears.
