- Nose
- Nice touch of sherry to round its big maltiness – and a subtle hint of peat.
- Palate
- Luscious, clean, maltiness and barley-sugar sweetness. Moving to drier maltiness and, again, gentle peating.
- Finish
- Firm, smooth. Orange zest. Cinnamon. Late, light ginger.
- Comment
- Anyone not quite understanding the term "malt" should try this whisky. All will then be clear.

- Nose
- Seriously unimpressive: sub-standard sherry notes topped only by a hint of smoke. Pretty grim.
- Palate
- Silky but otherwise bland. Very little emerges beyond the flavourless sherry except a brief, malty, smoky peat.
- Finish
- Caramel and vanilla. Otherwise dead.
- Comment
- Zzzzzzzzzzz.
