Nose
Expressive, grassy. Dry hay. Huge puff of black pepper followed by sweeter notes. Cider apples cooked in honey. Beeswax. Touch of cedar. Palate
Round, oily, sweet and malty. Toasted nuts. Stewed apples. Less spicy than the nose. Good balance. Finish
A bit evanescent but enjoyable. Comment
Definitely Speyside. Elegant interplay between fruit and malt.
Dave Broom
Nose
Very light and grassy to start. In time becoming more sappy, like a pine forest in the summer. Some creamy nuttiness as well. Palate
Heathery. Very light, dry and nutty with that light sappy note returning. Well-balanced. Finish
Soft then fades quickly. Comment
A good, solid, bone-dry malt.
