- Nose
- Touches of rancio, but dominated by burnt pastry, demerara sugar, caramelised fruit sugars, barley sugar and oak. With water some green fence posts, wheat, and creme brulee.
- Palate
- Butterscotch and pine/oaky grip. Rich and certainly sweet but the feeling is it
is all oak driven.
- Finish
- Orange blossom and cereal. Oak.
- Comment
- It has a sweet punch and some will love this overtly oaky style. I'm not wholly convinced about what it's done to the overall balance.

- Fragrant. Gingerbread. Orange peel. Christmas spices. Marmalade. On time more citrus; candied tangerine. Orange blossom. Orange curd.
- Palate
- Smooth and caressing. Venetian velvet. The same Christmas flavours as on the nose. Gingerbread and a hint of milk chocolate.
- Finish
- Drier. Ginger, liquorice.
- Comment
- Perfect for a Christmas Eve after dinner dram. With a minced pie of course.
