Nose
Touches of rancio, but dominated by burnt pastry, demerara sugar, caramelised fruit sugars, barley sugar and oak. With water some green fence posts, wheat, and creme brulee.
Palate
Butterscotch and pine/oaky grip. Rich and certainly sweet but the feeling is it is all oak driven.
Finish
Orange blossom and cereal. Oak.
Comment
It has a sweet punch and some will love this overtly oaky style. I'm not wholly convinced about what it's done to the overall balance.

Nose
Fragrant. Gingerbread. Orange peel. Christmas spices. Marmalade. On time more citrus; candied tangerine. Orange blossom. Orange curd.
Palate
Smooth and caressing. Venetian velvet. The same Christmas flavours as on the nose. Gingerbread and a hint of milk chocolate.
Finish
Drier. Ginger, liquorice.
Comment
Perfect for a Christmas Eve after dinner dram. With a minced pie of course. Water is not recommended.
