- Nose
- Dark, deep, full and fungal with balsamic notes, some treacle and a
dense cocoa nib effect alongside dried fruits, tar, dubbin and plum jam.
- Palate
- Again balsamic, but sweet with a whiff of mothballs, then fruit paste. Best
neat. Dying embers and drying blood.
- Finish
- Black cherry. Bitter.
- Comment
- Big cask influence on a pretty light whisky. Interesting, but only for
sherry nuts.

- Nose
- Heavy brown sugar, treacle, warmed cinnamon, a subtle coal tar note, dark
stewed fruits and amber rosin.
- Palate
- Sweet at first then tomato paste. Something slightly smoky about this
as well, tomato stalks and earth.
- Finish
- Long, sweet and juicy.
- Comment
- Wonderful stuff for a late night fireside chat with friends.
