Nose
Dense, perfumed and floral (hyacinth) with malt, barley and vibrant, herbal infused subtle dried fruit. It's relatively straightforward but deep and concentrated with a pervasive minerality.
Palate
Opens with sugar-coated barley and light, herbal notes. Apricot, pear and dried citrus fruit comes through along with hints of honey. Like the nose it displays a lovely, bracing minerality.
Finish
Long, crisp and very mineral with a touch of black pepper and lingering orange and honey.
Comment
A lovely, robust, mouth-filling malt with an impressive finish.

Nose
Black tea, over-ripe gala melon, tobacco leaf and truffle. This is a complex nose with a hint of spirit behind it.
Palate
The palate is sweet, with more black tea notes, some cracked black pepper, cardamom, nutmeg and Madagascan vanilla.
Finish
Sweet cure bacon, oak and vanilla.
Comment
A lot going on, maybe too much. Not quite a rainbow, nor a grey muddle.
