Tasting Notes

Michael Jackson

Nose
Lightly peaty. Dry. Clean.
Palate
Big-bodied. Lightly syrupy. Malty. Sweet.
Finish
Long. Almost stingingly peaty. Warming. Soothing.
Comment
That simple one-two of sweetness and dryness is not especially complex, but the flavours are delicious. Very wholesome and appetising.

Jim Murray

Nose
Much cleaner and uncluttered than of old. Light and quite alluring.
Palate
Impressive malt-fruit ratio with some playful young grassy tones standing up well to the bigger grapey notes. Mouth-watering all round.
Finish
Shorter than before with more emphasis on the fresh malt.
Comment
A vatted malt that has comprehensively changed shape in the last year.
