77- Nose
- Leather, sheepskin. Sherried oak. Quickly develops on fruit. Sour apples. Stewed summer fruit. Redcurrants and raspberry.
- Palate
- Sweet, winey. Slightly watery at mid-palate. Becomes oaky.
- Finish
- Oaky but not dry. Rather short.
- Comment
- To be enjoyed like a glass of port. Bring walnuts and blue cheese.

- Roast chestnut, treacle, Old English marmalade. Becomes incense like/resinous with water. Briary notes, Turkish Delight, gingerbread and raisin, parma violet, hint of peat. Antique shop.
- Palate
- Quite firm, black fruits, raisin. Good grip but not too tannic. Runny toffee. Rich.
- Finish
- Lightly tannic autumn leaves.
- Comment
- Has hidden depths. Doesn't like water.
