- Nose
- Big, stewed fruit nose. Plump, rumsoaked raisins with a pleasant cheesy
note behind. Farmyards once more along with a little sulphur.
- Palate
- Slightly bitter walnut and chicory to begin with, then some mushroom
ketchup. Liquorice, fruit cake, nuts with a fresh acidity. Good integration.
- Finish
- Toasted almond.
- Comment
- Balanced and integrated.

- Nose
- Initially a rootsy, fungal and chestnuty nose, giving way to rich caramel and
hazelnut whirl.
- Palate
- Medium full mouth feel, with an intriguing balance between soft
tinned peach and cream, a tangy and savoury mix.
- Finish
- The tangy salty notes stay the distance in what is an evolving kaleidoscope of a whisky.
- Comment
- Again complex and involved but in this case, confusing.
