Nose
Sweet and tingling with lilac, custard cream and then sappy oak, sawn pine/sauna. Lifted, fresh and honeyed.
Palate
Soft, with the ginger note. Silky feel with a rich, deep palate that shows touches of sweet sawdust and pine candles. On the sweet side of things.
Finish
Sweet and slightly firm.
Comment
Full and rich.

Nose
Aromatic and a bit like a Thai restaurant, with lemongrass, lime, fresh barley, caramel and pantry spices.
Palate
Rich and sweet, with tinned pear and peach but enough spice and body to stop it becoming cloying or over-sweet.
Finish
Balanced and pleasant, but fades quickly.
Comment
The virgin oak explains the spiciness. Quite delightful.
