Nose
Light, dry maltiness; hint of fruit. Palate
Dry start, becoming buttery, malty, nutty and lightly fruity. Finish
Extraordinarily perfumy and long. Comment
Very pale indeed. Wood a little worse for wear. Has a hard edge, but becomes silky and disrobes quite sexily.
Jim Murray
Nose
Intriguingly complex: kiwi and peach, pansies, peat and gentle oak. Palate
Fuller and richer than the nose suggests. Finish
Dark chocolate and malt. Comment
A malt which has changed direction in recent years, probably because of the new stillhouse. It’s nothing like as oily as of yore. The charm and delicacy more than make amends.
