Nose
Sultana, fig jam, hay and some earthiness and a little (appealing) burnt edge. With water there's meat stock, firm oak. Powerful.
Palate
Sweet and well rounded with a lightly brassy edge to it. Firm, sherried and ripe.
Finish
Just a little edgy.
Comment
Young and still coming together but there's enough richness of character to make it more than just an interesting pit stop on the road to full maturity.

Nose
Fruity and floral. Apple blossom and honey. Elegant malty notes.
Palate
Velvety. Sweet, maybe a bit soft at midpalate but so pleasant. Quince, medlars, cooked apples.
Finish
Medium length, smooth and sweet. With a nice spicy kick.
Comment
A very pleasant dram. Don't expect complexity but savour your pleasure. And get the apple-pie out of the oven!
