- Nose
- Sultana, fig jam, hay and some earthiness and a little (appealing)
burnt edge. With water there's meat stock, firm oak. Powerful.
- Palate
- Sweet and well rounded with a lightly brassy edge to it. Firm, sherried
and ripe.
- Finish
- Just a little edgy.
- Comment
- Young and still coming together but there's enough richness of character
to make it more than just an interesting pit stop on the road to full maturity.

- Nose
- Fruity and floral. Apple blossom and honey. Elegant malty notes.
- Palate
- Velvety. Sweet, maybe a bit soft at midpalate but so pleasant. Quince,
medlars, cooked apples.
- Finish
- Medium length, smooth and sweet. With a nice spicy kick.
- Comment
- A very pleasant dram. Don't expect complexity but savour your pleasure.
And get the apple-pie out of the oven!
