- Nose
- Intense. Earthy. Moss, bracken. Damp cellar. Cider apples. An air of mustiness. In the back a floral touch. Violet maybe.
- Palate
- Smooth then grippy. Bitter oak which the toffee cannot counterbalance.
- Finish
- Dry, astringent.
- Comment
- Too long a maturation. When oak dictates the aromatic profile, it is hard
to feel satisfied.

- Nose
- Quite ‘open', even exposed, initially - there's wood, scented candles and incense - very religious! In time, a lovely dustiness takes over: rose petals.
- Palate
- Less dusty than the nose with more deep fruits, liquorice and a burnt edge. Seasonally it's late autumn with stout shoes tramping over wet leaves.
- Finish
- Long and solid and full.
- Comment
- A big, bold statement and with great balance between cask and spirit.
