- Nose
- Grassy. Like walking into a herbalist shop. Lemon balm, chamomille. Almond milk. Lemon drop. Barley sugar. Even a yeasty note.
- Palate
- Very smooth and velvety. Sweet honey infusion. A touch of lemon syllabub. Drying on soft spices. The alcohol is felt on the tongue on the middle of the palate.
- Finish
- Dry, spicy.
- Comment
- Perfect “herbal malt-tea” for a wintery night cup. It takes a few drops of water
to cut the edges.

- Nose
- Grilled Brazil nut and a little dry hay mixed with milk chocolate. Quite
creamy. Medium weight.
- Palate
- Dried apple and pear galore. Again, some meatiness and earthiness at the root but it's those hard orchard fruits which dominate - by the time you add water there's some treacle sticking to the apple skin. Supple and long.
- Finish
- Mixed spices.
- Comment
- Balanced and appealing.
