Nose
Grassy. Like walking into a herbalist shop. Lemon balm, chamomille. Almond milk. Lemon drop. Barley sugar. Even a yeasty note.
Palate
Very smooth and velvety. Sweet honey infusion. A touch of lemon syllabub. Drying on soft spices. The alcohol is felt on the tongue on the middle of the palate.
Finish
Dry, spicy.
Comment
Perfect “herbal malt-tea” for a wintery night cup. It takes a few drops of water to cut the edges.

Nose
Grilled Brazil nut and a little dry hay mixed with milk chocolate. Quite creamy. Medium weight.
Palate
Dried apple and pear galore. Again, some meatiness and earthiness at the root but it's those hard orchard fruits which dominate - by the time you add water there's some treacle sticking to the apple skin. Supple and long.
Finish
Mixed spices.
Comment
Balanced and appealing.
