- Nose
- Light and delicate. Floral. Apple blossom. A chalky note. Lemonade. All
very subtle and ethereal.
- Palate
- Smooth, round and silky. Very refreshing. Aniseed drops. Lime juice.
- Finish
- Medium, dry with light almond.
- Comment
- That whisky struggles to stand out among a flight of big sherry guys, but it is worth enjoying. Though we could have expected more character from a 27 Years Old whisky.

- Nose
- Clean, light and appetising with hints of an appealingly burnt depth. Wet green leaves and meat stock mixed with bamboo shoots.
- Palate
- Quite juicy on the mid-palate where there's a lychee like blandness playing
off against earthiness.
- Finish
- A quick exit.
- Comment
- Yes, it's a-typical but it's also a delicious dram. I'd have it neat.
