Nose
Light and delicate. Floral. Apple blossom. A chalky note. Lemonade. All very subtle and ethereal.
Palate
Smooth, round and silky. Very refreshing. Aniseed drops. Lime juice.
Finish
Medium, dry with light almond.
Comment
That whisky struggles to stand out among a flight of big sherry guys, but it is worth enjoying. Though we could have expected more character from a 27 Years Old whisky.

Clean, light and appetising with hints of an appealingly burnt depth. Wet green leaves and meat stock mixed with bamboo shoots.
Palate
Quite juicy on the mid-palate where there's a lychee like blandness playing off against earthiness.
Finish
A quick exit.
Comment
Yes, it's a-typical but it's also a delicious dram. I'd have it neat.
