Nose
Rich and creamy. Mint toffee. Then stewed fruit. Cooked peaches and pears. Getting nutty in a pastry style. Praline, toasted hazelnuts.
Palate
Smooth, satin-like. Sweet malty and fruity flavours followed by a spicy kick. Getting drier, with a refreshing minty character as well.
Finish
Intense, spicy and minty.
Comment
The nose promised a sweeter palate which remains a bit behind. Not unpleasant but slightly disappointing.

Nose
Very rich and dense at first. Kendal Mint cake and chocolate. Some berry compote. Roasted and honeyed walnuts too.
Palate
Malt loaf and butter, very smooth then builds to a spicy crescendo with hints of mint green tea leaves.
Finish
Focused on the spices and long.
Comment
A well integrated whisky that is very appealing and wants you to keep trying it.
