Nose
Musky notes, some dry cleaning notes, woody drying casks, some clove, a touch of all spice and caramelised apples in butter.
Palate
Bitter salted liquorice, then immediately into caramel latte coffee, with quite a cloying note. Water brings more caramel some herbal tablet notes, but a sharpness still remains.
Finish
Very dry indeed.
Comment
I think this one has let the wood gain the upper hand, unfortunately.

Nose
Dunnage warehouses, earthy, woody, a little musty. Old books and country churches. A little spice comes through and melted butter.
Palate
Plenty of toffee and Caramac notes but there is a bitter cough lozenge note that cuts through. Pontefract cakes.
Finish
Short and crisp.
Comment
If you like them dry then this is for you, plenty of oak dominance.
