Nose
Burnt-heather smokiness. Sappy oak.
Palate
Very luxurious. Beeswax and honey. Bitter black chocolate. Treacle toffee. Anise.
Finish
Spicy. satisfying. Long.
Comment
This is an urbane whisky that will not easily reveal itself. Take your time with it. Enjoy its company.

Jim Murray

Nose
Wild blackberries add some fruity lustre to an otherwise oaky yet understated aroma.
Palate
An explosion of grape and spice.
Finish
Long, continually fruity yet still smoky.
Comment
Anyone who reckons Glenfiddich is not a top-rate distillery should sample this.
