Tasting Notes

Dave Broom Nose Pine sap, aromatic woods, beech nut. In time a sweeter note of kumquat, then pan drop/minty sweets. Oak driven, but sweetly so. Palate Slightly thin after such an impressive nose. Plenty of wood and a touch of créme brûlée. Finish Soft, pillow-like. Comment A bit of a let down after such a great nose. A very pretty whisky but higher alcohol might have given it better impact in the mouth.

Arthur Motley Nose Satsuma segments, nail polish, apricot cream and papaya. Then a doughy, pumice-like element, that borders on soapy. Palate Sweet, with vanilla and almonds and a lightly bitter oakiness. Finish Pretty short, but a delicate US oakiness. Comment A pretty nose but fairly uneventful on the palate. Pleasant.
