Tasting Notes

Michael Jackson Nose Very aromatic, appetising and softly spicy. Palate Very malty. Long and unfolding. Clean. Sweet start. Creamy flavours, becoming cookie-like and nutty. Finish Chewy, malty. Very soft, restrained, dessert apple. Comment Delicious example of maltiness in a whisky. I always enjoy Glengoynes very much, but they invariably leave me wanting a little more.

Jim Murray Nose A glorious mixture of malt, sweet pipe smoke subtle grape and leather and a sprinkling of peat. Palate An absolute flavour explosion of sweet and dry malt, cherries, vanilla and a fruit cocktail. Finish Heaps of vanilla and other subtle oaky tones and lashing of sweet malt. Comment This single bottling places Glengoyne in the super-league status; the finest expression from this distillery.
