Dave Broom
- Nose
- Fatter with riper /semi-dried fruits. Baked apple. Some dry oak. Richer and more substantial. Victoria sponge, sultana. No sulphur.
- Palate
- Less overtly sweet to start,more of a slow spread of flavours and also wider on the tongue. Better delivery. Some barley sugar,dried apricot,heavier florals. Fleshy and slightly more tropical in character.
- Finish
- Light sweet spice and citrus oils.
- Comment
- More interesting. Here the finish has added a new element while not killing the distillery character.
Rob Allanson
- Nose
- The extra maturation has amplified things here. More malty with ripe fruits and a raisony note.
- Palate
- There is more of a barely sugar sweet character now. It fills the mouth. Reminiscent of a meadow in late summer,scent laden.
- Finish
- Still light and sweet.
- Comment
- Improvement is not the right word but there is a beneficial element added here. Delightful.
