Tasting Notes

Martine Nouet

Nose
Sweet and intense. Almond cake. A hint of varnish. Barley sugar. Waxed floors. Plum compote. Rich sherry notes. Raisins, a touch of marmalade.
Palate
Fat, creamy, velvety, fruity. Stays on the sweet side. Stewed plums with ginger.
Finish
Not very assertive. Aromas quickly dwindle. Becomes sappy and somewhat astringent.
Comment
Doesnâ��t deliver the promise of the nose. Surprisingly smooth for a fairly high alcohol strength.

Dave Broom

Nose
Clean and light. Red apple, sweet hay, vanilla, buttered popcorn/rice cakes.
Palate
A sweet and soft start. All very gentle and pretty much straight down the middle.
Finish
Light.
Comment
Attractive enough but hardly complex.
